My Favorite Places :: The Colony Club Weddings

After getting about a billion calls about the this great new venue, I decided it was time to go see what all the fuss was about! The Colony Club is owned and run by the same folks that run the Gem Theatre (one of my absolute favorite places)! The Colony Club started off in the ’20′s as a women’s club, then it was headquarters to the UAW. It was reopened again for Superbowl XL to host ESPN’s Superbowl parties!

This place has history and you can feel it when you’re there. It’s a stunning ballroom that actually feels like a real ballroom. Not something that was built in 2007 and called a ballroom. If your looking for a historical, beautiful, charming, opulent and classic venue for your wedding, the Colony Club is for you!

This cocktail room, on the first floor, has wonderful windows facing out onto the streets:

Once you walk up the beautiful staircase to the second floor, this is what you see immediately – a stunning view into the ballroom:

The ballroom has everything a photographer would want: windows, mirrors and balconies!:

Wow. I’ve only seen a few pictures so far and it’s so much more gorgeous than I originally thought. We have a wedding there in July and I’m drooling now. I am definitely going to have to check it out in person. Thanks for sharing. :)
