The Scotts. I don’t even know where to begin about these 2 – I heart them SO much!

They are both named Scott. One is little and one is big. So they go by Big and Little. Adorable? Check.

For their engagement session they wanted to go to the airport, specifically, the McNamara Terminal. Well, you cannot just mosey into the airport with photography equipment and expect to get very far. So Little spent what felt like months going back and forth between the Westin and the TSA to arrange this. And it finally paid off.

This is probably one of the coolest, most unique sessions I have been a part of. There was SO much to shoot there. We started at the Westin. That hotel is perfection for a portrait session. Then into the terminal. After an odd and semi lengthy time at security with my giant rolling light, we were in. Amazing. My favorite spot has to be that strange light up tunnel. Those shots came out amazing.

Scotts – thank you for this idea and letting me be a part of it I heart you.

I hadn’t met Rachel or Lorin before their engagement session, which is always kind of interesting. You never know what to expect. But they arrived and I was quite pleased with not only who they were as people and as a couple, but their casual choice of wardrobe for the shoot. You can just tell from looking at the images, that this is who  they really are and that they were pretty darn comfortable!

Ellen + Matt are adorable. They came in professing how awkward and terrible they were at being photographed.

Together, they are comfortable, cuddly, cute and so in love.

I can’t wait for their April wedding at The Gem Theatre!

Juliet and Chris are the most adorable EVER! They are the perfect mixture of particular and care free. Which means that they get business done (and well) but can also step back and share a big laugh.

We had SO much fun spending this time with them. There was so much laughter at their session.

The GTKY sessions (get to know you) have become my very most favorite thing!

I love reading through the questionnaires the couples fill out about themselves, each other and their relationships.

Shannon + Gerry are first and foremost hilarious. They are also so comfortable together and so adorable. The 3 main portions of their lives together that we focused on for this session were:

~ their love of going to the movies

~ the fact that they spend a ton of time playing all sorts of video games together

~ the fact that Shannons Family owns a produce company in the Eastern Market and that Shannon worked there and spent a giant amount of time there and now Gerry works there

The movie theater shot was my baby. I was SO excited to do this. This has been done before, I did not invent the idea, but I have never done it and so I was excited. It turned out SO rad!

The video game shots were done in our studio and they are hilarious! I told them to bring all the stuff they would normally have with them while they played games at home, so they brought blankets and pillows and wore their pajamas! So awesome! I love these silly shots.

The Eastern Market portion of the session was cold. We all agreed on that. But we worked through the pain and got some super cool images there as well.
