Venue Spotlight~! Royal Oak Music Theatre Wedding~!

The first time we walked into the Royal Oak Music Theatre for a wedding, 2 things happened.

1. Our jaws dropped at how incredibly rad it was

2. We were super angry that we didn’t book our own wedding there :)

This is one of the all time greatest spots for a wedding in Metro Detroit. Professional event lighting, incredibly unique setting, a bajillion insane photo ops, and YOUR NAMES ON THE MARQUEE! It’s location in downtown Royal Oak is perfection too. This is the spot we go to whenever we shoot downtown because it has all the best stuff~! You get an urban wedding without leaving the suburbs.

It really doesn’t get any cooler than this.

My Favorite Places :: The Colony Club Weddings

After getting about a billion calls about the this great new venue, I decided it was time to go see what all the fuss was about! The Colony Club is owned and run by the same folks that run the Gem Theatre (one of my absolute favorite places)! The Colony Club started off in the ’20′s as a women’s club, then it was headquarters to the UAW. It was reopened again for Superbowl XL to host ESPN’s Superbowl parties!

This place has history and you can feel it when you’re there. It’s a stunning ballroom that actually feels like a real ballroom. Not something that was built in 2007 and called a ballroom. If your looking for a historical, beautiful, charming, opulent and classic venue for your wedding, the Colony Club is for you!

My Favorite Places :: Gem Theatre Weddings

I think that the Gem Theatre is one of the coolest places for ceremonies and receptions in Detroit. It has so much history and character. The surrounding area is one of our favorite places for editorial posed shots too! The Gem has delicious food and an amazing catering staff.
