Cinnamon the Old English Bulldogs Pooch Portraits~!

Cinnamon is the most adorable and well behaved pooch I have met in a while!

Old English Bulldogs are not English Bulldogs, as you can see from these images. They are much bigger and MUCH less lazy!

I am now in love with this breed and must add it to my growing list of dogs I need to have some day.

Kona Needs a Home and It Should Be Yours~!

I photographed this guy for Paws For Life and he is amazing. They are all amazing but I think he was the most well behaved, even though he’s pretty much just a puppy!

Here’s what his Petfinder profile says about him:

Hi! My name is Kona (or sloan depending on who you ask)! I am a 10-month-old, energetic, active, rambunctious pup. I love other dogs and play, play and more play! I am so excited that I think everything is play and everything is a toy! I need some training to help with that. Good thing is I’m SUPER smart and I respond well to training. I work hard for praise and treats and PLAY! I love teenagers but I’m too mouthy for little kids until I’m fully trained. But I’ll get there. Everyone has lots of faith in me. My other need is exercise. I’m just an active dog and need to do stuff. Getting enough exercise makes a huge difference for me too, and lots of toys. I am a sweet, friendly dog. I love camping, jogging and hiking. I love the snow, of course. I enjoy companionship, belly rubs and being part of a family. I’m ready to go, so apply for me today. I am healthy and happy. I’ve had a veterinary physical exam, heartworm test, heartworm prevention, fecal exam, DA2PPL vaccine, microchip, rabies vaccine, bordatella vaccine, Strongid, Frontline/Topspot and neuter surgery.

Apply today or come meet Sloan at our adoption event on Sunday, May 22nd from noon to 3 p.m. at Stoney Creek, 4300 Main Park Dr., Shelby Township at Winter Cove A. Event includes Scentsy sale and supply and fund drive to benefit the homeless animals of Paws for Life. Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption.

Adoptable Dogs~! You Know You Want One~!

I love volunteering my time and pooch photographing skills for Paws for Life to help dogs who are still looking for their forever homes. These images are used for their Petfinder ads, so that they get more attention and come across as dogs that are pets instead of pathetic needy homeless animals.

This batch was amazing. I wanted them all. Seriously.

The first guy, Spanky, the black + white one, was my favorite. I loved his coloring and demeanor. You can tell someone used to love him. Here’s what his petfiner profile says about him:

“Hi! My name is Spanky! I came to PFL from a county shelter where I was found as a stray. I was an owned, beloved pet at some point. I am really nice dog – a fun, playful loverboy. I love my toys and always have a ball or toy in my mouth. I am happy, upbeat and very silly. I think I’m a lapdog. I only weigh 57 lbs and I’m a year old, maybe 2 years. I am active, energetic and playful. I need exercise, basic training and someone to love. I’m smart though and I like to learn. I’m housetrained and crate trained. I live in foster care with cats and two small dogs. I’m a good boy and love everyone. I’m full of life and will brighten your day, greeting you at the door with tail wagging and heartwarming smile. Give me the home of my dreams. You will be so glad you did.”

The second pooch, Maxine, the tan lady with the AMAZING ears, was also a super sweety and those ears! COME ON! You know you love her. Here is what her Petfinder profile says about her:

“Hi! My name is Maxine. I am adorable, sweet and loving. I have an affectionate, cuddle-bug personality. I will melt to the floor for belly rubs. I love to go for walks and car rides. I have a great big smile and always wagging tail. I’m good with other dogs and I enjoy companionship. All around, I’m pretty mellow and laid back – content to spend time with my people, nap on my doggie bed and roll in the grass. I’m a 50-lb dog who is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. I’m looking for a family to love for life! I promise to be a good girl and you won’t be sorry. In fact, you just wont’ know what you ever did without me.”

The third dog, Lou the brindle guy, was such a handsome gentleman. His all over brindle is beautiful. He used to live in a car :( Here is what his profile says:

“Hi! My name is Lou and I need a new family. My family lost their home and we were all living in a car until Animal Control came and took me away. They said those aren’t suitable living conditions. I don’t know what that means except that I am alone now and hope that someone will rescue me. I need a foster care home while I’m searching for my forever home. If you can help me, please contact PFL. I am a super handsome boy with a huge head, sweet soulful eyes and a big, happy smile. I am a wonderful boy with a sweet, friendly, loving temperament and silly, affectionate personality. I love other dogs and I like to be active and exercise. I ran 10 miles over the weekend with a shelter staff worker. It was so much fun! I like to run and play. I’m just a youngster with a big heart and lots of love to give. I’ll be a great family pet if someone will just give me the chance. I like toys and sleeping in bed with you. I am fully vetted, vaccinated, tested, neutered and ready to go! Please give me a home where I’ll never be alone again. You will be so happy you did!”

The fourth and last pooch is Sadie, the white and tan lady. She is a little older so she was so mellow and low key and did everything perfectly. Older dogs often get the short end of the stick. Everyone wants a puppy. I get it. They are adorable. But meanwhile dogs like Sadie sit in shelters or foster homes, never knowing what it truly means to be loved by their own family. Here’s what her profile reads:

“My name is Sadie! I’m a really nice old gal. I’m 6 years old or so and looking for the home of my dreams. I’m a sweet, mellow dog. Everyone has been so king to me. They gently stroke my head and scratch my ears and tell me how their hearts break for me cause everyone wants the cute little puppies. It’s sad when society throws away life cause it’s older. I think it means I know more and have even more to give back. I want a family again, someone to love, so I can live happily ever after without a care in the world. I need a foster care home while I wait for a new family to find me. I’m living in a boarding kennel right now. I have a very sweet, laid back and loving personality. I’m friendly with everyone. I’m spayed, crate trained and ready to go! I enjoy walks, car rides and belly rubs. All I want is a home to call my own and someone to love. Please show me what it’s like to be loved for life and give me the home of my dreams.”

Paws For Life is a tremendous organization. These dogs are only $75.00 for adoption. If you or anyone you know is considering adding a loving, well behaved and adorable pooch to the family, please consider one of these amazing creatures. I can speak personally about them after just spending a while with each of them – they are stunning dogs who will make a family VERY happy one day.

Snickers the Welsh Corgi~! (royal oak dog portraits)

Corgis are funny. Not in an “I don’t like them” way but in a “I can’t believe how short their little legs are!” way. Seriously, how do they get around? And then they had to go and add those ears and wha-la! The Corgi is almost too much cute to handle.

Snickers was not too keen on popping her ears up and she seemed a bit lazy, but still so adorable in that Corgi way!
