Liz + BJ Get Hitched!

church : St Hugo Chapel

reception : Roostertail

band : Newsmaker

cake : Pastry Palace

photo booth : ShutterBooth

(Thank goodness they were available after a photo booth disaster!)

Liz + BJ had a pretty cold and semi wet day to contend with. But they were troopers! Liz couldn’t be any easier to photograph - she is stunning! The church was gorgeous - I love stone walls. Afterwards we headed to downtown Birmingham for some posed shot fun, but the cold and threatening rain packed us up early. Still, we got some great stuff! The Roostertail was lit all over by purple and blue lights and it looked wonderful. The details that Liz + BJ put into their wedding was astonishing. They really thought of everything and it showed.

Liz lookin’ good:

Super rad staircase at St. Hugo:

Isn’t this place gorgeous!?:

Yummy red fall leaves = best background ever:

There is something about this that I can’t get enough of:

Maybe my fav. They are SO cute together:

Liz is too adorable for words in this shot (and I love the glowing colors in the background):

Their guests had these confetti spraying guns during their first dance that made for some really fun shots!:

Um. I really don’t know. But wow, huh? All I do know is that BJ made 5 Ghost Busters costumes for Halloween one year and then this happened:

OK. This deserves it’s own blog post and will probably get it. The candy buffet was the most amazing candy buffet I have ever seen, and I see A LOT of candy buffets:

Thanks to the candy buffet: rings on wax lips:

Kudos to the candy buffet again: ring in personalized candy holding pill bottle (seriously the coolest wedding detail ever) ETA: Ive gotten some questions already about these pill bottles and why they were used. Answer: Liz is a pharmacist!

Dana + Jon Got Married!

ceremony + reception : Pine Knob Carriage House

cake : Elite Sweets

DJ : J&J Sound Entertainment

florist : The Parsonage

We have been looking forward to this for quite a while! Sometimes as photographers we get the opportunity to work with people that we love spending time with. Dana and Jon are one of those couples. Not afraid to do things a little differently, the ceremony and reception were refreshingly unique. The Parsonage florist did an amazing job bringing in the outdoors to the Carriage House. I love the use of sticks and twigs in weddings!

Dana getting ready:

Jon gets ready alllllll the way across town:

Dana got a tattoo of their wedding date in roman numerals. How cool is that!?:

Posed images at Pine Knob. All the posed shots were done before the ceremony:

Such a beautiful sky:

I adore this shot:

This tree had leaves the color of the wedding. It was perfect!:

Ceremony inside the pavilion:

Dana is short. Jon is tall. He picked her during their first kiss:

Again, short plus tall. Jon knelt down to dance with Dana during their first dance!:

And then swung her all around:

Rings in personalized M&M’s!:

Jocelyn + Brian Get Hicthed Ann Arbor Style

ceremony + reception venue : The Michigan Union

florist : Gigi’s Flowers

Jocelyn + Brian had a wonderful Ann Arbor wedding with beautiful fall weather. I don’t think we have ever been given this much time to create posed images for a couple before! Because of that, I am showing you an extra amount of the posed shots we created for them. I loved the personal touches they added. Cider mill donuts might be the best wedding favor a guest can get! I’m just saying.

They saw each other before the ceremony to start with the posed images. Here they are seeing each other for the first time:

Guess where this was taken:

This is just so much fun:

This might be my fav of the day. So simple, but I love it:

I love this a lot too, so adorable and fun:

Gorgeous:
