Heather + Ryans Beautiful Fall Wabeek Country Club Wedding~!

ceremony + reception ~ Wabeek Country Club

cake ~ Elite Sweets

Florist ~ Flowers of the Lakes

DJ ~ Rob Vedder

Live Music ~ Horizontal Strings Music Group

Heather + Ryan had a super laid back and classy wedding at Wabeek Country Club – one of my favorite places! Wabeek has such an incredible little garden out back with different sets of stairs and little paths, that it’s just perfect for posed photographs. And, thankfully Heather + Ryan chose to do a first look out here, because it turned out stunning.

Heather + Ryan rolled with the punches well. It was super windy that day and moving the ceremony inside did not freak anyone out – RARE!

It was a beautiful day with beautiful people and now, beautiful images :)

Shannon + Gerrys Henry Ford Museum Wedding Spectacular~!

ceremony + reception venue ~ The Henry Ford Museum

DJ ~ Mike Staff

video ~ Mike Staff

flowers + linens ~ Viviano’s

cake  ~ Christine’s Cakes and Pastries

coordination ~ Uniquely Yours

Shannon + Gerry are such an incredibly in love and amazing couple. They had a pretty bad year and luckily had their wedding to cap it off the right way. Incredibly happy.

They love to laugh. They love to have fun. They love to be near each other.

The way Gerry looks at Shannon will melt your heart. I will NEVER forget their first look because he showed so much genuine emotion that you couldn’t helped but be touched by it. He tries to play like he’s a big bad guy :) but he’s a softie and I love him.

Their wedding day was crazy yet relaxed. I don’t know how that’s possible. Probably because even in the midst of crazy, they are so calm that it spreads. I had such an amazing time with them and their families. It was truly a special wedding.

Amanda + Ralph’s Clinton Township Wedding Extravaganza~!

ceremony ~ St. Isadore

reception ~ Italian American Cultural Center

photo booth ~ Cheesebox

Amanda & Ralph were a referral from past client/intern/friend, Erica. She is the most awesome person ever so I knew her friends must be at least slightly awesome. And they were.

After a delightful church ceremony, where they constantly giggled toegther and smiled, we hit the area for some fun portraits wih the bridal party. We tried to go to a park, but there was a wedding there. So we, went to the library and made magic happen there. Then, thanks to my awsome second shooter, Wayne, we went to Partrige creek mall for a few more shots (even one at the Apple Store)! After the photos they went to a bar for a couple drinks bfore heading to the reception.

The reception was a laid back party of fun. So much

Heidi + Jonathan Get Hitched in Style at the Scarab Club~!

venue ~ the scarab club

prep location ~ The Inn on Ferry Street
PhotoBooth ~ Shutterbooth
Lighting ~ Mercury Lighting
Florist ~ Wesley Berry
Groom Cake ~ Cake Nouveau
Transportation ~ Aristocat Limo
As soon as they said Scarab club and ping pong tables (yes, they had ping pong tables at the reception) I knew I loved them.
Heidi + Jonathan had a completely personal and unique wedding, true to themselves. This is my favorite kind of wedding. It didn’t look or feel like any other wedding I had been to, and that’s the way it should be.
After getting dressed at the pretty Inn On Ferry Street, we went to the DIA and Belle Isle for bridal party photos after their first look. The bridal party was such a good crowd. They laughed and enjoyed photo time, even though it was hot. And humid.
I had never shot a wedding at the Scarab club before. It’s pretty amazing and I’d recommend it for smaller weddings. Surrounded by art, dinner and dancing was in the main gallery space. Guests went upstairs to watch the cake cutting, play ping pong and enjoy the photo booth.

Rachel + Steve’s Beautiful St. Johns Wedding~!

venue ~ St. Johns Plymouth

DJ ~ Panache

photo booth ~ Shutter Booth

cake ~ cupcake station

florist ~ Magnolia

Rachel & Steve were a referral from past couple Erin and Stefan (Erin is Steve’s sister). They were also married at St Johns!

Their wedding was classic and beautiful, everything you’d expect from a St Johns wedding.

They were very laid back and easy going throughout the day, which is exactly what I hope for every wedding day :) The timeline at St Johns can be a bit stressful on couples at times, but Rachel & Steve didn’t let that get to them and we had plenty of time to do everything we needed to and more!
