With the small exception of the guys taking too long with the limo, this day went 100% perfectly~!

Again, being laid back and easy going on your wedding day leads to wonderful, relaxed images.

This wedding was such a breathe of fresh air. New, unique and unconventional venues made it a day to remember~!

Kristins dress is hands down my ALL time favorite gown EVER. I love it SO much.

This was also a very DIY wedding, which I love and respect so much. They made ALL of the flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony pieces and centerpieces) by hand out of coffee filters~! They were beautiful. And Kristins sister made the cakes by hand as well.

The ceremony was on the roof of the Park Shelton condos and had such amazing views.

The reception was held at the Detroit Breakfast Club which is an incredibly hip and delicious breakfast restaurant on Woodward downtown. Breakfast for dinner is the coolest thing you can do at your reception in my opinion. More of you should do this. I had the stuffed french toast and Nate had the steak and eggs~! Yummmm.

Each bridesmaid got to wear a different dress. There is no situation where this isn’t a good idea. Each girl got to express her own personality and actually be comfortable in the dress. My favs were (from the left) the 3rd + 5th bridesmaid dress:

Leah + Nick have become so much more than clients to us. They approached us about their Wednesday wedding, yes Wednesday, and their unique and exciting ideas, and we fell in love.

This particular Wednesday was 9.9.09 and their anniversary. It was so cool~!

Rebecca + Wes are textbook clients for mod4. They are everything we want in a couple. So cool, easy going, down to earth, sane and so much fun~!

The entire day was so easy because they did not let their wedding become stressful. Which I recommend.

Danielle + Mike hired us like 15 years ago (2, really) and I cannot believe that their wedding has now come and gone. I have been staring at their names on my calendar for so long that it seems weird to be done with the wedding!

Their entire day took place at the Bay Point Golf Club. We love it there! The ceremony site is so wonderful and the staff are incredibly helpful.

Annie + Brian are one of our out-of-town couples. We did not get a chance to do an engagement session with them, but this time, it didn’t matter~! They are an amazingly stylish and outgoing couple. Ace + John are so sweet. I feel like we have been working with them forever. It was supposed to rain all day on their wedding day. It did a bit before and during the ceremony, but when we really needed dryness, it stopped just in time for a trip to the park with the bridal party!

Ace had about a million bridesmaids (really it was 10)! It was a sea of pink:

We have been looking forward to this for quite a while! Sometimes as photographers we get the opportunity to work with people that we love spending time with. Dana and Jon are one of those couples. Not afraid to do things a little differently, the ceremony and reception were refreshingly unique. The Parsonage florist did an amazing job bringing in the outdoors to the Carriage House. I love the use of sticks and twigs in weddings!

Ambyr and Jim have become so much more than clients to us, so we were so excited that their wedding day finally arrived! It was such an easy going kind of day (all wedding days should be!). The Environmental Discovery Center at Indian Springs Metro Park was really cool. We had never been there before. There were so many killer spots for photos that we could have spent all day wandering around there!
