Susan + Bob had the most fabulous, hip and intimate last minute wedding EVER~! They only started planning this incredible affair at the end of July~! No doubt this has a lot to do with their laid back attitudes, impeccable style and the help of the uber talented Laura Davis~!

Shiraz Restaurant has a seperate room for private parties that is killer! Laura Davis worked her skills and turned it into a hip, modern and colorful cocktail party:

This wedding was such a breathe of fresh air. New, unique and unconventional venues made it a day to remember~!

Kristins dress is hands down my ALL time favorite gown EVER. I love it SO much.

This was also a very DIY wedding, which I love and respect so much. They made ALL of the flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony pieces and centerpieces) by hand out of coffee filters~! They were beautiful. And Kristins sister made the cakes by hand as well.

The ceremony was on the roof of the Park Shelton condos and had such amazing views.

The reception was held at the Detroit Breakfast Club which is an incredibly hip and delicious breakfast restaurant on Woodward downtown. Breakfast for dinner is the coolest thing you can do at your reception in my opinion. More of you should do this. I had the stuffed french toast and Nate had the steak and eggs~! Yummmm.

Each bridesmaid got to wear a different dress. There is no situation where this isn’t a good idea. Each girl got to express her own personality and actually be comfortable in the dress. My favs were (from the left) the 3rd + 5th bridesmaid dress:

Nate and I have known Jonathan since we got into wedding photography. He is a video guy. He used to do weddings but has moved on to different things now. When he asked us to shoot his wedding we were SO flattered! This guy knows good stuff. When we finally met his fiance Nicole, we fell in love with her~! She is adorable, so sweet and most importantly, down to earth.

Their day could not have gone any smoother~!

The Conservatory at the Royal Park Hotel is THE most beautiful location for a Michigan ceremony. If I were handing out awards Id give it to them in a heartbeat~!:

The entire day was so easy because they did not let their wedding become stressful. Which I recommend.

Annie + Brian are one of our out-of-town couples. We did not get a chance to do an engagement session with them, but this time, it didn’t matter~! They are an amazingly stylish and outgoing couple. Kristin + Dereks wedding day was PERFECT! It rained (a LOT) during the ceremony, which Kristin loved (thunderstorms are pretty cool) and stopped in time for outside posed shots and then started again during the reception! You can’t plan that kind of stuff. We got to work with Erika from Emerald City again too, she is the BEST! Also, the Lafayette Grande is one of most favorite reception venues, Greg and the staff there are incredible!

This amazing tulle skirt from seller Allie J Designs is stunning! She writes in her listing that photographers love this skirt, and she is right! This would SO much to fun to photograph! And what a great idea to purchase it for a portrait session after the wedding day, like our Wear the Dress sessions!

Or how about these awesome rings from seller Shade Jewelery!? This one is my fav (if anyone’s looking for a gift for me)!

Seller Beadiful Things has some beautiful jewelery that would lend itself well to weddings. I particularly like this hair pin (only $9.00!)

Lastly, a friend of ours, Sherri, has a shop, seller name Sparkle Pants, with these super awesome paper flowers made from romance novel pages! These would make a killer bouquet, centerpiece, gift, ect…
