Dana + Jon Got Married!

ceremony + reception : Pine Knob Carriage House

cake : Elite Sweets

DJ : J&J Sound Entertainment

florist : The Parsonage

We have been looking forward to this for quite a while! Sometimes as photographers we get the opportunity to work with people that we love spending time with. Dana and Jon are one of those couples. Not afraid to do things a little differently, the ceremony and reception were refreshingly unique. The Parsonage florist did an amazing job bringing in the outdoors to the Carriage House. I love the use of sticks and twigs in weddings!

Dana getting ready:

Jon gets ready alllllll the way across town:

Dana got a tattoo of their wedding date in roman numerals. How cool is that!?:

Posed images at Pine Knob. All the posed shots were done before the ceremony:

Such a beautiful sky:

I adore this shot:

This tree had leaves the color of the wedding. It was perfect!:

Dana and her dad wait to walk down the aisle:

Ceremony inside the pavilion:

Dana is short. Jon is tall. He picked her during their first kiss:

Again, short plus tall. Jon knelt down to dance with Dana during their first dance!:

And then swung her all around:

Rings in personalized M&M’s!:

Amy + Greg had a wonderfully intimate ceremony at St. Johns last week. There were only about 30 people there for the ceremony and was so nice.

Amy was good at the sass:

Ros + Jon Get Their Nuptuals On!

ceremony : Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

reception : Rochester Community House

florist : Design Works

cake : Home Bakery

We feel so lucky to work with amazing couples like Ros + Jon. I cannot stress the importance of trust when it comes to your wedding photos. Ros + Jon are fun, easy going and so incredibly nice. Their didn’t feel like work to us. I know that we will continue to get to know these two for a very long time!

We did some cool urban shots in downtown Rochester:

We have a thing for brick:

We also have a thing for industrial stairways:

Over to the Rochester Community House for some more fantastic images. By the way, isn’t Ros’s little jacket too adorable?! I had never seen anything like it and I loved it:

Yummy sky:

Another bride that had no issue laying in the grass! How lucky are we! I think it was totally worth it for this sassy image:

First dance:

Yet another non-white cake!:

Their centerpieces were made of wheat grass, which is one of my all time fav things. So, rings in wheat grass:

Kristine + Ryan!

ceremony : St. Ambrose Church

reception : Detroit Yacht Club

cake : Blooming Bakery

DJ : Michigan Wedding DJ

Kristine and Ryan are cool people. They are such cool people that they had a 100 member bridal party! No, it wasn’t really that big, but it was BIG.

They like to have fun, and that’s what they did on their wedding day. We went to Hart Plaza and Lafayette Coney Island for photo taking fun.  Then Kristine and Ryan took a sail boat to their reception at the DYC! How fun!

Kristine’s dad helping her into the church:

Trolley limo!:

Could we love Hart Plaza more? No.:

At this point, I am sure everyone knows my thoughts on cathedral veils. They are the super best!:

From the sail boat. I think this is pretty awesome:

First dance:

Cutest cake ever! Seriously, I was so pleased when I saw this sitting there. Little birdies + grass = adorable cake! This is how do a white cake and not make it boring:

Head table centerpieces were all sorts of glass vases and candle holders. It was stunning:

Rings on Smarties!:
